Support the game

Every asset in the dark
had to be paid for.

Phantom Jay is made by Kyrios Studios, no publisher behind it. Support goes straight back into the game: the models, textures, sound and music that fill the village, the tunnels and the woods.

Any amount helps, and there's no minimum. TipeeeStream handles the payment, so no card details are ever entered on this site.

01 / Where it goes

What support actually buys

Models & environments

Houses, props, furniture, foliage, tunnel kits. The forgotten village is built out of hundreds of individual pieces, and most of them are bought rather than modelled from scratch.

Sound & music

Horror lives or dies on audio. Ambient beds, footsteps on wet gravel, the noise behind you that isn't wind, plus licensed music for the moments that need it.

Animation

Motion-capture packs and rigged animation sets, so the thing following you through the trees moves like something that shouldn't exist.

Tools & licences

Plugins, engine tooling and the software subscriptions it takes to keep building. Unglamorous, but the game doesn't ship without them.

Asset packs typically run anywhere from a few euros to a few hundred, depending on size and quality. Those are general marketplace prices, not a published breakdown of this project. If you want to know what something specific went towards, just ask.

02 / Costs you nothing

Free ways to help
that genuinely matter.

Money is not the only useful thing, and for a game that hasn't launched yet it isn't even the most useful. If you'd rather not donate, these help a lot.

  1. 01

    Wishlist it on Steam

This is the biggest one. Wishlist numbers decide how much Steam shows the game to other people at launch.

  2. 02

    Tell one person

Send a screenshot to someone who likes horror games. Post it, share it, mention it to a streamer who plays these kind of games. Word of mouth does more for a small game than any ad ever will.

  3. 03

Tell me what's wrong with it

Honest feedback on the screenshots, the atmosphere, the pacing of what you've seen. It's worth more than politeness. Criticism now is cheaper than criticism after launch.

03 / Straight answers

Before you give anything

Do I get anything for donating?
Yes, everyone who donates will be mentioned in the end credits of the game!
Does donating get me a copy of the game?
No. When Phantom Jay releases it'll be sold on Steam like any other game. Wishlisting it costs nothing and helps more than a small donation does.
Is there a release date?
Not yet. It's to be announced. I'd rather say that than name a date i'm not sure of. Donations don't speed that up; they just mean better assets in the version that eventually ships.
Where does the money actually go?
Into the game: assets, audio and the tools to put them together. It is not a salary and it is not a studio budget. Ask me directly if you want specifics.
Is my payment safe?
Payments are handled entirely by TipeeeStream and their payment processors. This website never sees, stores or asks for your card details. The donate button simply sends you to their page.

Thanks for even considering it.

And if you skip the donation and just wishlist the game instead, that's a win too!
